El trinquet de pelayo

This project consists of the digital recreation of the iconic Trinquet Pelayo — known as “the cathedral of pilota” — a culturally significant sports venue in the heart of Valencia, which now also functions as a traditional bar-restaurant.

The aim was to develop a realistic and respectful 3D representation of the space, capturing both its historical identity and current mixed use. The process combined thorough research with applied design tools across 2D drafting, 3D modeling, rendering, and graphic composition.

Working collaboratively in a three-person team, we organized the workflow into clearly defined phases: space surveying, material application, and lighting. Each stage was iteratively reviewed to ensure precision, coherence, and high-quality visual results. We used a range of tools including AutoCAD, Rhino, V-Ray, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

Special attention was given to the local materials — like Valencian hydraulic tiles, lime mortar walls, and oak furnishings — as well as to lighting design and atmosphere, aiming to evoke the warm, welcoming character of the original interior.

This project allowed me to integrate technical drawing and digital fabrication with architectural storytelling, all while preserving the spirit of a culturally rooted, communal space.
